Re:Racewear - A Modern Racing Collection for Ergonomic Support

The Project

The Re:Racewear collection reimagines traditional motorsports apparel through a more modern, ergonomic design approach. Inspired by the technical paneling and streamlined silhouettes of high-end ski wear, the collection uses strategic patterning, colorblocking, and functional details to create racing gear that moves beyond the traditionally boxy aesthetic of the driving suit. A dramatic palette of vivid red and yellow against dark greys and blacks reflects the intensity of the racetrack.

The collection includes purpose-built racing and training garments for both men and women, with particular attention to the underserved needs of female drivers. Designs incorporate features such as stretch panels, articulated shaping, adjustable waistbands, and modular components to address mobility, comfort, and fit. The final collection was developed through a complete apparel design process, including a line plan, technical specifications, and full tech packs for production.

The concept of the Momentum Men's Racing Suit was further developed in LINK TO OTHER PROJECT HERE, incorporating the collection of 3D body scanning data and joint angles in order to develop both virtual and physical prototype of the suit.
